PRIVACY POLICY
General
Netword, Inc. ("the Company") adheres to a policy which respects the privacy of its various consumer and business stakeholders ("Stakeholders").
The Company is primarily engaged in the management, marketing and sale of Internet keywords and keyword phrases ("Networds") which allow easy navigation through the Internet by using a software redirection technology. The Company therefore deals with three categories of Stakeholders: Registrants, Visitors, and Navigating Web Users.
Registrants: Registrants are businesses, non-profits or governmental entities or individual persons making application for a Netword Registration, whether such registration concerns free or leased Networds. In other words, Registrants acquire the rights-to-control certain Networds for defined time-periods.
Visitors: Visitors to the Company's websites.
Navigating Web Users: Anyone who makes use of the Company's Netword product to navigate to Registrant's websites (or other Internet destinations) or to view Registrants' advertising displayed through this process.
Privacy Policy Attributes Regarding Registrants
As part of the registration process the Company collects information on Registrants. For the most part this includes street addresses, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, URL's, and the names of involved persons. As part of the payment process the Company may obtain credit card or bank account information.
This information is used for a number of purposes, including:
- Contacting Registrants to resolve open issues, including those both technical and business-related.
- Sending publications of interest, such as newsletters, to Registrants.
- Credit card or bank account information is used specifically to process payments. In some instances, the Company may use this information to obtain pre-approvals or to verify funds availability. The Company does not make this information available internally except to those employees directly involved in payment processing.
- Registrants' website URLs, as linked with the Company's Networds, are available to the public both through navigational use of Networds and via "Check Netword Availability" functions on the Company's websites.
Note: The Company may use authorized dealers to market and lease Networds on a retail basis. This Privacy Policy applies to the Company and its subsidiaries and affiliates, but not to any authorized dealer. The Company advises Registrants to separately review the privacy policies of any authorized Netword dealer with whom they are doing business.
Privacy Policy Attributes Regarding Visitors
The Company does not collect any personal information on or about specific Visitors to its websites.
The Company does utilize "cookies" when Visitors connect to its websites. These cookies are placed on Visitors' computers and facilitate easier reconnection with the Company's websites. Cookies track use of visits to websites, such information being helpful to the Company as it designs and evolves its products and services. Cookies may be disabled by Visitors in the settings for their browser.
Privacy Policy Attributes Regarding Navigating Web Users
The Company does not collect any personal information on or about specific Navigating Web Users, nor does it monitor the navigating behavior of such users.
As part of the Networds redirection process certain data is collected at the Company computer server level. Such data may include Networds used, IP addresses, and timing and browser information. This information is used on an aggregated level, both for internal data performance purposes and as part of the business planning process.
Data Security
The Company employs sophisticated software and hardware tools which are designed to protect our Stakeholders' privacy. These tools are regularly updated as better technology becomes commercially available.
Stakeholders are advised that, despite the above measures, there may be events where the technology fails to provide 100% privacy protection. Consequently, Stakeholders should use caution in communicating with the Company over the Internet.
Additional Privacy Policy Information
The Company does not knowingly collect any information from or about persons under the age of eighteen (18).
The Company collects aggregated data about the various Stakeholders which is used internally to design and refine products and marketing approaches.
